Keep your torso profile and body in mind while selecting plus size blouses and tops. If you are larger in the bust and shoulders than in the waist and hips, your body type is Inverted Triangle. Choose darker color plus size blouses designed to draw the eye toward the waist instead of the shoulders. Avoid ruffles at the neck and shoulders.

To floral or not to floral? That is the question! Ladies... forget what you've heard about plus-size women not being able to wear pretty floral prints. We most certainly can wear fun and feminine florals! Floral tops and blouses are a fabulous choice year-round for plus-size women. The key to floral prints is all about the size of the bloom and the spacing of the flowers within the print. Wide spaced florals (also larger blooms) with lots of background color showing through look best.

The same applies to floral dresses. Don't shy away from those pretty florals, but do keep an eye on the background and the size of the bloom. That's the trick in wearing florals. If you have always kept away from floral prints completely, give it a whirl!
